Soft Chocolate Small Breads
Ingredients:
- 225 g of flour;
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder;
- 1 tablespoon of sugar;
- 1 teaspoon of active dry yeast;
- 15 g of butter;
- 160 ml of milk;
- 55 g of chocolate chips.
Preparing the Soft Chocolate Small Breads
In a bowl sift the flour with the cocoa powder. Add the sugar, the yeast and the butter in pieces.
Note: We can replace the cocoa with the same quantity of flour to obtain white small breads with chocolate chips like in the photo!
Add few milk at time and knead with a spoon, in the meantime.
When the dough starts getting firm, knead it with your hands.
Add the chocolate chips and combine them. Shape the dough in a ball.
Engrave an “X” on the top of the ball. Cover with the cling film. Let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Take the dough and divide it into 8 pieces. Shape each of them in a ball: they should have the same size.
Arrange them on the baking tray prepared. Let them rise for about 30-40 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180° C.
Passed the time, brush the top of the small breads with some milk.
Bake them for about 15-20 minutes.
Take the Soft Chocolate Small Breads out of the oven and brush again with some milk to polish them.
Let it cool and… enjoy!
