With this Simple Dough For Pizza we will obtain a fantastic and delicious pizza!
It is very simple to prepare. A soft and easy to knead dough will be obtained.
To roll the dough out I don’t use the rolling pin because we don’t like a too thin pizza. Indeed I press the dough onto the baking tray with my fingers with no effort. Try it out!
Simple Dough For Pizza
Ingredients for about 3 pizzas:
- 240 of all-purpose flour;
- 160 of bread flour;
- 250 ml of water;
- 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast;
- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar;
- 2 teaspoons of salt.
Ingredients to garnish:
- 400 g of tomato pulp;
- 2 mozzarella cheese;
- basil a.r.;
- olives a.r.;
- oil, salt and oregano a.r..
Preparing the Simple Dough For Pizza
In a bowl mix together the flours, the yeast and the sugar.
Add few lukewarm water at time while kneading.
When the ingredients get a good consistence add the salt. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes.
Shape the dough in a ball and engrave an “X” on the top of it.
Grease a bowl with some oil and put the dough into it.
Cover the bowl with cling film. Let it rise for up to 2 hours.
Then split the dough in 3 pieces. Shape them in balls and arrange them into separated bowls or onto a lightly floured surface. Let it rise up to 4 hours.
Preparing the garnish
Prepare the tomato sauce: remove the excess of liquid from the tomato pulp and then pour it into a bowl.
Add 2 tablespoons of oil and flavour with some salt and oregano as needed.
Cut the mozzarella in cubes and keep them in a small colander.
Preparing the pizzas
Preheat the oven to max temperature in convection mode.
Grease 3 baking trays and place the dough balls on them (one balls for each tray).
Roll out each of them using your fingers. Make a movement from the centre to the edge, continue until a circle is obtained. We can arrange the thickness according to our taste.
Cover the pizza surface with tomato sauce, the mozzarella and other ingredients as needed, like some olives.
When the oven gets to the desired temperature, bake the pizzas for about 15 minutes: this time could vary depending on the oven.
Take the pizzas out of the oven and flavour with some leaves of basil.
