Simple Chocolate Cake is very easy to prepare! This is a soft cake and it is not dry. It is perfect for breakfast and as a snack!
We could also garnish this cake with some jam, cover it with a chocolate icing and serve it like dessert: a sort of sacher!
Simple Chocolate Cake
Ingredients (for a cake pan of 22 cm diameter):
- 110 g of butter;
- 110 g of sugar;
- 2 eggs;
- 100 g of flour;
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder;
- 10 g of baking powder;
- 4 tablespoons of milk;
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla powder;
- 1 pinch of salt.
Preparing the Simple Chocolate Cake
Grease and flour the cake pan. Preheat the oven to 180° C in statics mode.
Sift together the flour, the cocoa, the vanilla and the salt. Keep the powders aside.
Mix the butter (at room temperature) and the sugar until a soft cream is obtained.
Add the eggs, one at time, using the electric whisk.
Add the powders few at time alternating with the milk. We should obtain a soft and uniform mixture.
Pour the mixture into the cake pan and bake the cake for about 25 minutes.
To check the cooking we should insert a skewer into the center of the cake: if it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
Take the Simple Chocolate Cake out of the oven and let it cool slightly. Then we can pull the cake out to the pan and let it cool completely.
As needed, we could decorate the cake with chocolate cream and icing sugar!
