Potatoes Spinach Cheese Pie

Potatoes Spinach Cheese Pie is a complete and filling dish. We can prepare this pie in advance and bake it at the moment!

It is very easy to prepare. For this recipe you need a few ingredients and moreover the final result is great!

As needed, you could add or change some ingredients. You could prepare this pie in single serving!

Potatoes Spinach Cheese Pie

Ingredients (for a oven pan of 18 cm diameter):

  • 500 g of potatoes;
  • 300 g of spinach;
  • 40 g of flour;
  • cheese cubes a.r.;
  • bread crumbs a.r.;
  • oil, salt and pepper a.r..

Preparing the Potatoes Spinach Cheese pie

Boil the potatoes with its rind until they are soft (the cooking time depends on their size).

Put the potatoes into a big pan with cold water. Boil the water, then reduce the heat. The cooking time is from 15 to 35 minutes, it depends indeed on the size of the potatoes. In order to check if the potatoes are cooked, we should insert a skewer or a fork with no effort.

When the potatoes are done, drain and peel them. Mash the potatoes into a bowl. Keep them aside to cool.

Wash the spinach and put them into a pan. Cook the spinach until they are wilt. Let the spinach cool, then squeeze them to remove the excess of water. Add the salt and pepper. Keep the spinach aside.

Preheat the oven to 180° C.

Take the bowl whit the mashed potatoes. Add the salt, the flour and mix the ingredients.

Grease the cake pan and cover it with some bread crumbs.

Cover the pan with a few mashed potatoes and uniform the top. Pour a few spinach and cheese cubes, cover with the mashed potatoes and so on until the ingredients are finished.

Complete the pie with a few spinach, cheese cubes and some oil.

Bake the Potatoes Spinach Cheese Pie for about 30 minutes.

In the last 5 minutes of baking, pass to grill mode. Take the pie out of the oven.

Serve Potatoes Spinach Cheese Pie hot!
