Melting Heart Chocolate Cake is a special dessert, perfect for chocolate lovers!
On the web there are a lot of recipes about this dessert. I tried the Ho Voglia di Dolce‘s recipe: this blog is a guarantee.
It is very easy and fast to prepare. But, we have to take care of the baking time!
Indeed, the baking depends on two factors: by the cake temperature and by the oven.
I prefer preparing these small cakes in advance and leave them into the fridge for about 3 hours: the centre of the sweets will be the most difficult part to bake.
We can also freeze them: the baking time will increase! They will need about 25 minutes!
Each oven is different, so we can follow a try and fail approach! Before cooking all of them, we could try with one and, according to the result, we will cook the others by consequence.
But now, let’s go to the recipe!
Melting Heart Chocolate Cake
- 150 g of dark chocolate;
- 2 eggs;
- 25 g of flour;
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract;
- 70 g of sugar;
- 80 g of butter;
- cocoa a.r.;
- 1 pinch of salt.
Preparing the Melting Heart Chocolate Cake
Preheat the oven to 180° C in convection mode.
Chop the dark chocolate.
Melt the chocolate using the “bain-marie” method, then add the butter and leave it melting. Once done let it cool.
Add the eggs and the sugar. Beat with the electric whisk until the ingredients are combined.
Sift the flour with the vanilla and the salt. Mix these ingredients into the chocolate mixture.
Grease single muffins pan and cover them with cocoa. Remove the excess by shaking and turning the pan upside down.
Pour the dough in these small pans. Fill in only 2/3 of the available space.
Bake for about 10 minutes.
Take the Chocolate Cake out of the oven and turn each of them out in a dish.
Sprinkle the surface with icing sugar and serve them!
