Hamburger Buns

Hamburger Buns are very soft! They are very easy to prepare!

We can prepare them for parties, happy hour and buffet. And, why not, also for an alternatively dinner among friends! They are perfect to fill with meat or fish hamburger, but also with cheeses and cured meats!

They are perfect to fill, but you can prepare them as combine. As needed, you can freeze them once baked.

So you will have some Hamburger Buns nice and ready! You must pick the buns up at the freezer, defrost them and warm up in the oven before fill them.

  • 450 g of flour;
  • 300 ml of lukewarm water;
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar;
  • 1 teaspoon of active dried yeast;
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon of salt;
  • oil a.r.;
  • sesame seeds/sunflower seeds a.r.

Preparing the Hamburger Buns

Sift the flour with the sugar and the yeast in a bowl.

Pour the water, few at time. Stir well until the ingredients are mixed.

When the water is absorbed from the flour, add the salt and combine it.

Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead with our hands for about 10 minutes.

Brush a bowl with the oil. Shape the dough into a ball.

Put it into the bowl and cover with a cling film.

Leave to rise in a warm place until doubled in size.

Get back the dough and divide it into 8 pieces. Shape each one into a ball, roll each of them onto some sesame seeds and arrange them onto a baking sheets.

Cover the buns with cling film and leave to rise for about 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 200° C.

Bake the buns for about 15-20 minutes or until they are golden.

Transfer the Hamburger Buns to a wire rack to cool.
