Apple Muffins

Apple Muffins are very easy and quickly to prepare. These treats are perfect for the breakfast or as snack. They are soft and not at all dry.

It is a good recipe to give a little bit fruits to somebody that don’t love too much them!

We could use different type of fruit, but we shouldn’t omit it! In this recipe, the fruit is very important: indeed if we don’t use it, the muffins will be dry!

We can also guarnish with some chocolate chip, why not!

Apple Muffins

Ingredients:

  • 100 g of whole wheat flour;
  • 55 g of flour;
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder;
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla powder;
  • 1 pinch of salt;
  • 40 g of sugar;
  • 1 or 2 apples (it depends to their size);
  • 125 ml of milk;
  • 1 egg;
  • 4 tablespoons of melted butter.

Preparing the Apple Muffins

Preheat the oven to 180° C static mode.

Sift together the whole wheat flour with the flour, the baking powder and the salt. Add the sugar.

Peel the apple and cut it into pieces. Add 3/4 of the apple into the dry ingredients. Stir together.

In a bowl mix the milk, the egg and the butter.

Add the liquid ingredients into the dry ones. Combine them.

Pour the dough into a muffins pan and garnish with the apple kept aside.

Bake the Apple Muffins for about 20 minutes.

Take the muffins out the oven. As needed, we could serve the lukewarm muffins with some ice cream for a dessert or let them cool completely!
